Arrived in Denver, Colorado around 7:45 a.m. (Monday). By 10 a.m. we were hiking the Rocky Mountains. Seriously! Welcome to Colorado Lisa!! Please note the trail we picked ^^^ was at nearly 10,000 feet. Starting at Bear Lake, we hiked the Flattop Mountain trail until we couldn't go any further up due to the snow drifts on the trail. Yes, SNOW DRIFTS. Didn't you see the pictures ^^^ ?? That's no joke! So while the young boys were hopping from drift to drift like little jack rabbits, we were trying not to twist, slip, slide, DIE! Where is Coach, why are we trying to hike this!? We check our phones for reception, he messaged us nearly a mile ago to turn back due to the drifts. OH GOOD GRIEF.
