A Letter from Camp
I know, you've already seen this photo, but it's so appropriate! |
Hello Mother, Hello Father
Here I am at Edgefield Boarding
Camp is very entertaining,
And they say we’ll have some fun if they stop barking!
I went walking with Great Pyrenees
He developed lime disease.
You remember that golden ‘triever,
He got kennel cough last night after dinner!
All the workers hate cleaning skeet
But the grass is made of concrete
And the head doc wants no slobber
So he sprays us from a hose for water
No, I don’t want this to scare ya,
But my kennel mate has Pyoderma
You remember the gray Collie?
They’re about to organize a search party
Take me home, oh mother father
Take me home, I hate being boarded
Don’t leave me here in this kennel
Where I’m treated like an animal
Take me home, I promise I will not make noise
Or mess the house with stuffing from my toys
Oh please don’t make me stay
I’ve been here now for three whole days!
Dearest mother, I know you’re anxious
That’s why I can’t believe you’re even doing this
Let me come home if you miss me
I would even let a stranger hug and kiss me
Wait a minute, they stopped barking
Dogs are swimming, pups are running
Playing frisbee, gee that’s better
Mother, Father, kindly disregard this letter!
