A Brilliant Brunch

A hidden gem in the heart of the French Quarter...local cuisine - Cajun, Creole, fresh and DELICIOUS! Soft blue walls lined with local artists pieces and lime green chairs made the place comfortable and NOLA chic.

Our meal included a special for the day: Pineapple Upside Down Pancakes.
All I can say is this recipe WILL find its way to my kitchen! These were the softest most tastiest pancakes that have ever landed in my mouth! Served with a side of whipped cream, no syrup required!

We also had Eggs Cochon and Eggs Dauphine. Fancy right?...

Eggs Cochon: pulled pork cake over mustard greens, poached eggs, and topped with Creole hollandaise.
Sounds different? It was the most unusual mix of flavors but it was perfect. It was filling without being heavy.

Eggs Dauphine: stacked poached eggs, country ham, fried green tomatoes, and hollandaise.
It was a NOLA version of eggs benedict and absolutely scrumptious. Again, filling without being heavy.

A random pick that is now going to be my GO TO for a taste of New Orleans... It was probably one of the best breakfast's I've ever had!
