If You Never Tri, You'll Never Know!

6 Weeks to Ironman Arizona

Monday, September 29, 2014: So check it out ^^ I'm chilling on the couch. Doing nothing! Say whaaaattt!!?? Yep, I took a recovery day. Even with my quasi-lazy Sunday and full night of sleep, I still felt (feel) exhausted. My previous week was a tough one ~training, full time working, and timing all the races, plus the Rhino Run. So I feel like my day of no training was (is) justified. I did spend the day at the shop working though (the couch time was just this evening)...
And I have a full schedule ahead of me. Open throttle!!

Tuesday, September 30, 2014: 1:15 on the trainer this morning. 23 miles. I haven't been on the trainer in forever! But with little time before work, I needed a right now kind of training morning. Set that baby up and got on it! Did a 1min pick-up every 5mins. SWEATY GIRL! Spent the rest of the day at the shop and I think I'm having dinner out tonight with friends...

Wednesday, October 1, 2014: Is it seriously October!? I hope this month doesn't go as fast as the other. Headed to Keesler this morning for my monthly antibiotic shot. Got that out of the way and hit the running path around the airfield for a 60minute, 6 mile run. I was going to swim too and was all excited cause the pool is 50 meters (vs. the norm of 25) but they were already closed for the season! Darn it! So I skipped my swim, ran some errands, and relaxed at home with Jake for the rest of the day.

Thursday, October 2, 2014: a quick swim at the Biloxi Nat to start my Thursday. 2000m complete. Another fast day at the shop and timed a cross country meet. Now for some dinner and play time with my pup... An easy week but a tough weekend is coming :D

Friday, October 3, 2014: another day "off". I'm starting to feel lazy. I'm so glad I have a big weekend coming up. And then next week is BACK AT IT! Reminder: everyone's body needs a reset sometimes. I will be stronger. Spent the day at the shop and tonight, I will camp.

Saturday, October 4, 2014: timed a race this morning (freezing cold by the way!) and a 2 hour and 30 minute run for 14 miles. Actually I only ran 2:26 and only hit 13.8. But I rounded up. You're welcome.

IMAG2715_1 My girl busted out 55 miles today what what!! @trishmyrick #ilovetoridemybicycle #triouradventure #Austin70.3 My cycling partner in crime... 4 hours, 72 miles. #ilovetoridemybicycle #ilovemyfriends #triouradventure

Sunday, October 5, 2014: a super fun day for the Southern Magnolia 100 bike ride. Snatched up Trish (for 17 miles) and Dave (for the rest) for a total of 72 miles in 4 hours. How is it that 1) a 4 hour bike ride is recovery and 2) a 4 hour bike ride is easy. Feeling kinda beast like... ;) Ended the day working a water station and then dinner with friends. Life is so good and another week of training complete. I have a feeling we're going to see a drastic increase in hours and mileage next week... BRING IT ON WEEK 5!!

Swim: 1.24 miles (eh, not a lot!!)
Bike: 100 even
Run: 20 even.
Recovery week. Low miles but feeling ready to hit it. Again, BRING IT...
