8 and 17 Weekly Accountability
Monday, Jan 19, 2015: I strained my knee recently on the treadmill (at least I think/hope it's just a strain). I really felt it during the 1/2 yesterday. With a full marathon coming up this weekend I'm taking a super easy NO LEGS recovery week. Today though, met a group of my athletes for some arms and abs. They all had a tough weekend with a long bike and long run so the arms and abs will be fun! We wanted to swim but MLK Day, the pool was closed. SHRUG! We hit some push-ups, pull-ups, dips, and a crazy set of abs. Gonna feel that one for a few days...
Tuesday, Jan 20, 2015: yep, SORE! Ha ha! I love abs of soreness. I worked at the shop today and met with a new athlete for calisthenics training (as in, I showed her - knee rest, remember!?).
Wednesday, Jan 21, 2015: 5am meet up with an athlete for his first run and a tough set of calisthenics.
Thursday, Jan 22, 2015: 3,000meter (1.8 mile) swim in 1 hour and 8 minutes. Boom - I still got it!!
Friday, Jan 23, 2015: to New Orleans to work the CEP Compression booth for the Rock n' Roll Marathon. On my feet, up and down, and making magic from 12-5pm. A 2 mile walk for dinner.
Saturday, Jan 24, 2015: still in New Orleans and working the CEP booth again. The dogs are barking.
Sunday, Jan 25, 2015: ran a marathon. 26.2 miles. Boom.
A "lighter" week topped with a long ass run. I love running. My knee hurts. I think I might need a few more days of resting it. I'll swim heavy this week and let the knee chill out. No worries!! 7 weeks to Puerto Rico 70.3. 12 weeks to NOLA 70.3 16 weeks to Ironman Texas. I'm super fired up by the way! Motivation? CHECK!
