Born To Be Wild
Get your motor runnin'
Head out on the highway
Looking for adventure
In whatever comes our way
Yeah, darlin'
Gonna make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once
And CRUISE to KANSAS!!!!
Like a true nature's child, I was born, BORN to be wild!!!...
^ stuck in my head, been humming and wailing it for the last few hours.
Kansas road trip theme song. BOOM.
Jake and I completed our 1st leg. Made it just south of Memphis with 350 miles behind us. We (I, Jake doesn't care as long as he gets to go) was nervous about this first solo trip in the RV so I left a day early to give me plenty of time. I honestly didn't know how many hours/miles I could drive at a time without falling asleep or hurting. I feel great though. Just getting nervous about where to stay (a little too cold to "dry camp" at a rest stop) so I picked a little RV joint to plug into for the night. I could barely get my plug into the outlet. I don't know if it's bent or I'm just new :/ But it was dark so THANK YOU BOB for stocking my RV with a flashlight!! I fired up the heater, cooked a black bean burger and some veggies and now we'll nap for a few hours.
I think I'll be able to finish the drive tomorrow, hopefully up and out before Memphis a.m. traffic!
Nothing amazing to report after the first leg. Jake couldn't get comfortable. He was all over that seat. Which just kept cracking me up so I had to snap a picture each time. Look at this guy. Ha ha! Other than that, we're happy and healthy!
