Memorial Day: Eat Well

To honor our fallen brothers and sisters of the military, we did what the typical American does on Memorial Day, we grilled out. But while most were eating burgers, baked beans, and potato salad, we were TRI'ing something different!!

Chicken and Pineapple Kabobs:
Your favorite chicken
Pineapple chunks
Lisa's throw together marinade: honey, soy sauce, and ginger
Let the chicken marinate all morning, kabob it all up, grill.

Curry Burgers:
Your favorite ground beef
Curry powder
Garlic
Onion
Mark's special 'a little bit of this, a little bit of that' (sea salt and black pepper)
Mix it all up, form it into patties, grill.
Serve on large lettuce leaves (say no to gluten!!) with sliced apples.

Veggie Kabobs:
Your favorite veggies (we used squash, zucchini, red onion, and red pepper
Drizzle with olive oil, salt, pepper, kabob em' up, grill.


Don't be afraid to TRI something different. While traditions provide stability and comfort, a small change can make a big difference in a healthy way.
