Accountability: Race Week
Race week is usually full of traveling, short quick workouts just to test things, and butterflies. This week is no different... And I'm afraid I didn't get many quick workouts in either.
Monday, May 23, 2016 - a long day of travel. Arrived in Brazil.
Tuesday, May 24, 2016 - a short swim in the ocean, maybe 200 yards + 40 minute bike ride + bike tour on a mountain bike.
Wednesday, May 25, 2016 - flop swim, shorter than yesterday + 25 minute run (my right knee still hurts and I'm feeling a bit of sciatic pain. I've scheduled a massage for Friday).
Thursday, May 26, 2016 - better swim; built confidence, 400 yards + expo and check in
Friday, May 27, 2016 - rest day. Massage in a.m. Helped a little but no solution. Walked some in town; moving feels better than being still. Sciatic please calm down!! Athlete dinner (was shit). Packed gear bags. I'm ready.
Saturday, May 28, 2016 - breakfast, interview for NBC, short bike to check in, short run (which was mostly a walk because of traffic and pedestrians), REST.
Sunday, May 29, 2016 - Ironman Brazil
