You Hit Like A Bitch
I think we've all experienced a time in our life when we feel like the world is against us. Maybe a run of bad luck or drama with friends? Nobody needs you or likes you? Or maybe you just keep falling, failing, or flailing?
Even though all that probably isn't true (the part that nobody needs you or likes you), it still tears us down, right? We are discouraged. Angry. Hurt. Lonely. Most of us let it get the best of us; maybe for as short as 15 minutes or for as long as a few days or weeks.
Running today, I was thinking about all that. How other people hurt us. How bad situations just arise. And how often, when it rains, it pours. Life just hurts sometimes. Well I want to help you with that pain right now. I want to teach you how to see the bright side and turn that ugly into something positive ~overcome the negative. Something more worthwhile.
I have come to learn that positivity comes from being happy DESPITE the unhappy. Bad things happen. Mean people suck. But with practice, you can use the bad for good. Keep reading...
The bricks you throw at me? I use them to build someone else's house.
The squashed tomatoes? I'm making spaghetti sauce for the less fortunate.
All these tears shed? Headed to water a dried up garden...
The curve ball? Knocked that bitch out of the park!
My point:
You can try to bring me down. You can try to hurt my world. But I choose forgiveness, understanding, and kindness. These are the key ingredients:
You take whatever parts of the bad that you can and do something amazing with them! Do something selfless and real; something big and bold! Make an impact!
As long as there is forgiveness, understanding, and kindness in your heart, you can turn any bad situation into a learning experience or an opportunity for growth. <--- I promise this will leave you feeling happy even in the midst of ugly!!

So remember: control your response. You get to choose how you react to a negative person or situation. YOU are in control of your emotions. 2, learn from the situation; use it as an opportunity to be the next level of a better you. 3, stay positive; search for that bright light. Being negative isn't going to change anything. It's only going to lead to frustration and failure. And finally, reiteration, STAY POSITIVE...it's not always easy, but always ends in a happier you :) :) :) :)
