Lay Your Demons to Rest
Don't you love how someone can say the smallest thing to you and change you in the biggest way?
I had one of those special moments yesterday and I want to share the morals of the story with you...
1) What you did made you who you are. Without that good, bad, AND the ugly, you wouldn't be this amazing person you are today. That guilt you feel? Regret. Embarrassment. Shame? (we'll call them demons). Sometimes it's hard to face those demons, in spite of being a changed person. Sometimes they just get buried deep.
It's time to get them out in front of you and then let them go behind you.
You don't have to share it with the world. You don't have to share it with anyone. But holding onto it, holds you back. It's time to lay your demons to rest.
2) True character always reveals itself. ALWAYS.
And karma...karma will play a role in your life.
3) Someone out there wants to hear your story. Not to use it against you, judge you, or hate you...but just because they care. Someone cares. No matter if you think no one does, there's always someone.
And finally, don't let anyone bring you down. You might not realize the impact you're making on someone's life... If you have a message, I don't care how annoyed it makes one person, if it inspires the next, it's worth it. Your tiny voice can change someone's entire world.
And you know what, if you love someone tell them. You might have no idea how much they cherish those words. We underestimate how powerful a kind word or a friend's understanding can be. We underestimate the power of the smallest act of caring. You have the potential to turn someone's LIFE around.
