If You Never Tri, You'll Never Know!

Whole30 Starts Now

Untitled

I'm not going to tell you how much I weigh... but it's about 13 pounds over my "race weight". And I'm not a 'number on the scales' kind of girl... I just know when I feel my best, look my best, and most importantly, perform my best. And that's 13 pounds ago!!

Post Ironman Barcelona has left me feeling BLAH and BLECK and BLUE!!!

Top that with a throat infection that has left my I.D. docs certain of a sugar allergy, it is TIME to get back on track.

I knew I wanted to do the Whole30 program last year when my friends Charlene and Ed went all in. I eat mostly healthy and pretty much Whole30 already, but I enjoy my wine...cookies...and I'm not afraid to splurge. On the Whole30 program, there is no wine. No cookies. And No splurging. It's a true challenge of food for fuel not for fun. You know how I am with challenges! Let's do it!
Couple that with the doctors recommendation to eliminate sugar or experience my throat swelling up and shutting down every 3-4 weeks and I'm really fired up for the challenge! It's really not even an option!

I don't believe in fad diets or quick fixes. I believe in HEALTHY living with a HEALTHY NUTRITION plan and the Whole30, full of appetizing recipes, fits that bill.
This isn't about a diet nor is it completely about pulling those 13 pounds off. This is about getting back to a healthy state, detoxing my body, and freeing myself from food for fun.

It's important to have friends and family on board, slapping shit out of my hands and reminding me what my throat feels like swollen shut at 2 in the morning... So please, send me the encouragement, don't bring me any cookies, and cheer me through this next 30 days...

And if you're interested in doing the same, COME ON!
