A warm up consisting of knees lifts, jumping jacks, butt kicks, squats, and push ups got them all fired up to run. We ran the kids around the block of the church, maybe .2 miles. Some of them gave Chris (leading the group) a run for her money!! And some of them were poopered out by the first turn. It's okay though, we were cheering them on and encouraging them to be amazing and never give up! They had so much fun that after a little stretch/cool down session, they wanted to run around the block AGAIN! So we did!!
This is where it starts friends...with our youth. It's so important that we teach them how important it is to exercise and be healthy and strong; head, heart, and body!
