Flying Horse Farms

My friend David lives and works on the most beautiful camp I've ever seen in Mt. Gilead, Ohio.

"Flying Horse Farms opened it gates to campers in 2010, is the first camp in the Midwest to become a member of the SeriousFun Children’s Network. Founded in 1988 by actor, philanthropist, and Ohio native, Paul Newman, the Network is a community of independently managed and financed camps and programs creating opportunities for children with serious illnesses and their families. The Network has evolved from one camp in Connecticut to a growing global community touching the lives of 600,000 children and families from 50 countries, across five continents."

With swimming, arts and crafts, canoeing, paddle boarding, archery, basketball, a ropes course, teamwork course, teepee's, and more (all wheelchair accessible), it's a camp for children with serious illnesses and their families. It's truly amazing what they're doing here.

David not only gave me a tour of the camp and it's facilities, but let me Coach an informal swim clinic in the lake. Umm, no gators, sharks, or weird southern critters !? Hell to the yeah!!

At this point, I wish I'd taken more photos. But here's what I've got!!
