If You Never Tri, You'll Never Know!

Self-Improvement Day 1

I'm a big believer of self-improvement. And despite some really amazing life changes coming up, I've been feeling a little stale. I also love challenges! I feel like we need attainable goals and the 30 day exercise, diet, and days of this and that are SO beneficial and fun. And more importantly, achievable! And hopefully enlightening as well.

Your life only gets better when you do. So HERE WE GO!!...

Day 1: Share Something You Are Proud of Today

Untitled

As you can imagine, I'm pretty proud of my Ironman accomplishments. This wall right here signifies 12 days of change. At each Ironman finish line I grow into a new version of myself. Usually a stronger, more confident Lisa. I never in 33 years suspected I would become an athlete, a triathlete, or a 12 time Ironman. And here I stand ready to race 12 more.

In Arizona, climbing Camelback, mom said, "I'm just taking baby steps. You gotta take baby steps." I laughed and said but that's so opposite of what I do, I leap from the top and pray for wings on my way down. It's true! I am literally ALL in or ALL out. Coming down Camelback, Luca was reminding me, "baby steps, baby steps, baby steps" so I wouldn't fall and kill myself. Of course this was related to our hike up and down the steep rocks but I found it quite metaphorical to life. Sometimes we need baby steps and sometimes we need leaps of faith. And sometimes our leaps of faith ARE our baby steps to our bigger dreams ~ awww, enlightening!! ;) ;)

Whether baby steps or a giant leap, GO FOR IT!! Make yourself proud!!

So many fail because they don’t get started – they don’t go. They don’t overcome inertia. They don’t begin.” W. Clement Stone
