If You Never Tri, You'll Never Know!

This Church: Sagrada Familia

Grotesque yet perfectly beautiful, this church has been in the making since 1882.
The (had to be INSANE) Gaudí was the architectural brains behind this massive Roman Catholic Church. He estimated the completion at 200 years.

"Gaudí played an active role in directing the construction of the Sagrada Familia until his death in 1926. He would often request that work be modified and adjusted until it was exactly what he had in mind. However today, because of the nature of the existing designs, his work is partly open to interpretation." Gaudí was persistent in this: NO straight lines.

Walking inside is walking into a whole new world. No matter your religion, a sense of peace and harmony enlightens the soul. Gaudí was big on light and sound play. He believed in color and natural light. It was GORGEOUS! The details on the church actually tell the story of Jesus Christ. You must see it...

Opposite sides of the church represent Nativity, Passion, Hope, and Glory. Gaudi was very detailed and specific about what he wanted. This building truly is a masterpiece of architecture, art, and spirituality.
