NO to no makeup
I'm going to rant a little. And it might be a silly topic...
Who cares if women wear makeup! I'm over the whole #nomakeupselfie challenge or the ridiculous #takeitoff pressure.
I don't think there's anything wrong with a woman (or a man) wearing makeup. If it makes you feel pretty, DO IT! Paint it up like a clown or go minimal. It's YOUR face! It's YOUR skin! You deserve to feel beautiful HOWEVER you feel beautiful!
How it all started anyway... was to raise awareness for cancer. Ha! I bet you didn't even know that!! But now it's a craze and WHY!? I don't even understand !!??
Unless a person looks like this:
I get it, natural beauty - blah blah blah. But if you don't feel comfortable, beautiful naturally and need to put a little makeup on to feel comfortable, beautiful, then DO IT! Why walk around feeling all ugly and self conscious!? Pimple? Cover that bitch up! Hate your freckles? Smooth em out. Small eyes, large eyes, saggy eyes? There's makeup for that! If there is something in this world that makes you feel better about yourself, happier, more confident, BEAUTIFUL - why are you NOT doing it!?
Please keep in mind I wear minimal makeup and most of the time, none. I can go with it or without it and feel beautiful. Somedays I need to load it on to feel that way and sometimes I don't have the energy to care. It's not about what YOU think, it's about how I feel.
^^ I think most women hit an age where it becomes less about what others think and more about what she thinks. In my 20's I wanted to look a certain way for other people. In my 30's I want to look a certain way for me. If putting makeup on gets me there... I regress.
I think makeup makes a woman look more put together and more importantly, FEEL better. Don't take that away from her. Don't pressure her to let that go.
"A woman loves looking her best. She takes great pleasure in adorning herself and amplifying her internal beauty via her external beauty. You don't need to be a supermodel to enjoy this; you simply need to know that you are looking your current best. The more you allow yourself to enjoy looking beautiful, the less you will resent the "need" to do so, and the more comfortable you will feel when you don't."
