Week 4/20 Ironman Kona
Monday, June 17, 2019 - early morning, I'm on my way to the states!!
No training, all the flying.
p.s. my bike didn't make it.
Tuesday, June 18 - what day is it? I'm super jet lag!! 26 hours no sleep.
No training, all the ___... (we're missing a word in the English language for the day after an international flight. "Jet lag" doesn't even cut it!).
p.s. my bike made it!
Wednesday, June 19 - good morning!! Feeling a bit better after a full night of sleep (I mean, mostly full). I've got to get grandma to the dentist this morning which ended up in my own dentist appointment too and a rainy day for NO ride and NO run. I'm going a little stir crazy and still quite off w/this jet lag nonsense. At least made it to the Kroger pickle aisle. WOW!
No training. This has got to stop!
Thursday, June 20 - missing my Luca SO MUCH!! He's at least able to email me now, although few and far between (he's out in the middle of the sea). When he arrives to Egypt he should be able to text or call since they'll give him a local SIM card. Thank goodness!! Today is Jake Vet day - all things!
Finally out for a run today - 5.5 miles, 1 hour.

Friday, June 21 - today is VA day - all things! Hopefully this afternoon I'll grab a swim and/or a bike ride. Our Olympic tri for Sunday was cancelled due to flooding - very disappointed. How am I still feeling so tired!? Finally got to talk to my Luca. He's in Egypt. And another day w/the grands. Between the 2 of them and Jake, it's a houseful of me chasing everyone around.
No training
Saturday, June 22 - up at out the door to swim w/Cheryl. Was able to get 1800 yards in which is great considering I've been slacking so hard. Mental reset! Go time!!
Spent the afternoon smothering my pup in affection (see above AHAHAHAHAHA!!) Jake is yelling, no more kisses mom, get our Luca home!!!

Sunday, June 23 - a 3 hour tour, a 3 hour tour...
Shot out for 45-50 on the bike but under estimated my return. Was happy with 43.3.
Spent the afternoon with our girls in West Liberty (Autumn, Alyssa, and April) with a side of Tucker.
