Week 3/20 Ironman Kona
Monday, June 10, 2019 - okay, focus! I need a good week. A good strong, motivated week. I have plenty to do - training, chores, and preparing for my summer in the states. So let's start with a strong swim - headed to the pool! Best news - Team TOA gear arrived!
SWIM 2400m
Tuesday, June 11 - early morning and out running errands - poste, farmacia, and bug spray. I'm feeling so accomplished!! It's a beautiful day to grab an hour on the bike outside BUT, for time purposes, I'm jumping on the trainer... with a brick run to follow.
KICKR 45mins
RUN 15mins
Wednesday, June 12 - what was even on the schedule today!? I felt completely lost today packing, working, and driving around Italy fussing with government. My Permesso renewal packet is MIA. To Sarzana police station, they don't know - go to La Spezia between 12-12:30. I show up right at 12, the place is packed and they announce they're not permitting anyone else in the door. WTF!? I basically said FORGET IT. I'm over the fucking Italian hoops. I'll deal w/this when I come back. And I missed swim time!! Dinner with friends and called it a
REST DAY
Thursday, June 13 - another whirlwind of a day! Managed a midday - hot as fire -
RUN 4 miles
Friday, June 14 - another wasted effort in La Spezia. My options are exhausted! It will have to be dealt with when I return. Missed swim time again - MAD FACE!!! Jake is feeling that something is happening - bags are being packed, mommy is like a chicken w/no head...
Saturday, June 15 - 5 mile, 1 hour run. Wow, it was hot as fire! I actually had 12 miles on the schedule. I'm going to have to break it up!! Mowed the lawn after to sweat out the rest of bodily fluids.
RUN 5 miles
MOW 30mins+
Sunday, June 16 - 47 miles w/Emma on the bike - to Viarregio and back. Traffic was kinda heavy but worked hard in between the busy sections. 3 hours. Really glad I got that in prior to leaving for the states cause I know it's going to take a few minutes to figure out time and schedule.
BIKE 50 miles
Weekly totals:
Swim x 1 2400 meters
Bike x 2 x 65 miles
Run x 3 x 11 miles
I realize this is a low mileage week. I'm okay with it. I know training in Ohio is going to be ON FIRE. Right off the bat, I've got an Olympic Tri scheduled. Yikes!! Let's do this!!
