Monday, Feb 4 - a confusing and frustrating start to my day. First of all, I slept terrible (Luca was on duty). No training this morning as we waited for our doctor appt. Basically all I heard was 'we can't help you'... not without the typical you need this this and that; all the impossible pieces of a puzzle that never fit together. So I'm sad. And confused. Or frustrated. I don't even know.

Tuesday, Feb 5 - feeling better this a.m. And the sun is shining. I believe I'm going to take my bike outside for today's ride (fingers crossed!). Going to wait until around 12:15 in hopes that all the crazy drivers will be at lunch. Oh, and I'm taking a slight break in the pool this week. Just 1 swim later this week instead of two. With a house fire, the day got crazy. Read about it here.
So ended up on the trainer for 1:15.

Wednesday, Feb 6 - 9 mile run this morning. Perfect; just what I needed. Took it nice and slow with 5min run + 30sec walk intervals. Tough warm up for first 3 miles. Slight knee discomfort. A few climbs. And sunshine. I don't care my pace anymore, I just love to love to run.

Thursday, Feb 7 - got wrapped up in work this morning and before I knew it, it was lunch time with my girlfriend... Jumped on the trainer for 1 hour in the late afternoon followed by a walk and play w/my guys. Plus I had a ton of work to catch up on! But check out that trainer tail!

Friday, Feb 8 - my favorite day of the week - swim w/Luca followed by lunch. He could have easily talked me out of today's swim but he said he really wanted to go. So we did; and it was awesome! I did a 2,000m session w/some sprints and crushed it. And we had a fairly empty pool. The 2 girls I was with were never in my way and very polite. Woo!! After we grabbed some sandwiches, a small cup of gelato, and hung out in the Marina di Carrara square. A few errands, Jake play, study/work, and an evening at home w/my guys.

Saturday, Feb 9 - awoke to a chainsaw (outside - not in my room). Who is chainsawing at 6am!? I just assume someone is cutting up a dead body, because what else!? It's still dark out! I have a short run this morning, some work to do, and Luca needs to study. 40mins w/my Luca. Later he cooked us an awesome simple dinner of bruschetta steak and fries. YUM.

Sunday, Feb 10 - it's wet outside and more rain is coming, but I'm heading out and see how long I can get away with it... I'm all dressed and ready, walk outside, and ugh, rain. Trainer it is...
1:45 in, rechecked weather and caught a break. I jetted outside to finish on the roads. It was windy so my ride was slow, but got it done!

52 weeks of us this week was no tv. TOO EASY! I made an exception for Luca to watch the news every morning. We watched a Netflix movie once on the iPad (does that count!?). We say no ;)

Weekly Training Totals:
I intentionally took a swim break. 1 swim x 2,000m
I'm tired of the trainer. I cannot wait for spring to arrive! 3 bikes x apx 75 miles
2 good runs this week. I missed one brick run due to the fire and time restraints. And I still want one more weekly though (4 a week). 2 runs x 13 miles
