If You Never Tri, You'll Never Know!

Welcome Home #accountability Week 20

Okay Lisa JJ... 20 weeks to Ironman France! Even though Kona won't be a part of my 2018, I'm still going to fight for my slot in 2020. One race at a time... I want to fight for an Ironman PR too. I think France is going to be a fast course and the potential for a fast Lisa. "Fast". Ha ha!! ZOOT ZOOT!!

The week is going to start slow as I say my final goodbyes to my brother and head back to Italy.
"Welcome home" has many meanings.

Monday, April 9, 2018 - it's snowing elephants and zebras!! But I'm going to run anyway, with Aunt Cheryl. 2.5 miles. Her first run in 6 months!
None the less, feeling anxious today... lot's happening this week. Huge endings and new beginnings.
I will say goodbye to my brother.
I will begin Ironman France training.
I will return to Italy and my life w/Luca and Jake.
Thank you to all who stand beside me, guide me, or lift me.
RUN

Tuesday, April 10, 2018 - this morning we said our final goodbyes to Jamie. And although, it isn't quite goodbye. It's just the beginning of a journey until we see him again one day.
Jamie's service was really nice. As was the church lunch after.

Wednesday, April 11, 2018 - 5k run this a.m. No snow, but a chilly morning. And I got kind of freaked out on the trail. I was very alone (unlike a weekend when there might have been cyclist and runners). I had this, what if I'm kidnapped or raped feeling ~ gave myself anxiety ~ and shortened my run (EYE ROLL). Later, jumped on a plane Columbus to Chicago to Munich...

Travel

Thursday, April 12, 2018 - Munich to Pisa to HOME. Successful travel and back in the arms of my loves. Napped. Put things away. Napped some more. Pizza night with friends and an entire night of sleep.
REST

Friday, April 13, 2018 - I got a lot accomplished today and thought maybe I tricked jet lag. Learned Saturday I'm wrong. Got the UGH email from Ironman - Kona 2020. It's so far away.
Lunch out w/my love and evening in.
REST

Saturday, April 14, 2018 - awake at 2am until 5:30am. Did NOT trick jet lag. Ahh!! Back to sleep at 5:30 until 10'ish. I've got a bike to get in today. And it happened!! A little slow at 15.5 mph average but I'm really happy to be out and about on the bike. And I'm totally digging my new Zoot one piece!!
BIKE

Sunday, April 15, 2018 - seriously, slept ALL DAY!! What a waste of a girl I felt today. I did manage to meal prep in the evening, but barely! Good grief...
