Monday, June 23, 2025 - I'm super ready for a rest day but I'm taking it tomorrow. So today was a gym session (chest and tri's) and a short swim for 1,000 meters. I could have/should have? swam longer but the swim aerobics girls got in the water and OMG, perfume and body lotion took over! YES, you can totally smell while swimming and even taste body products. This is why you are supposed to rinse prior to swimming. I was essentially suffocating in their smells and had to call it.

GYM + SWIM

Tuesday, June 24 - I'm taking a for real rest day!! Spent the day with Xandra. A little shopping, poke, and frappy's. Good day.

REST DAY

Wednesday, June 25 - said goodbye to Xandra and Ale (again). We're sort of a home base for them this month as Ale sails and Xandra meets him here and there - while we keep Olive. Jumped on the kickR for 1hr 15mins. Simulated some hills. My race is flat, but flat on a trainer is super boring; I need hard work. Finished this training session off with yardwork. What is wrong with me!? LOL!

BIKE + Yardwork

Thursday, June 26 - I woke up not myself. A little bit of depression, a little bit of fatigue. Maybe just a day... I worked, cleaned, sewed, and did anything to not train. Ugh, Lisa! I was slacking but it was an accident - a slackcident!

Nothing

Friday, June 27 - making up for yesterday's slackcident. Up and running for 45mins and off to the pool. I decided not to gym before and found I had much more energy to knock out 2,000 meters.

RUN + SWIM

Saturday, June 28 - woohoo! A race today! Ran 10k in Olgiata. My plan was to run the 10k and then 2 more miles for 8 today. Holy hilly race!! And holy effing hot. It didn't start until 9am and it was already nearing 90*. I ran hard and ran the whole time - no walking intervals at all. So I was satisfied with the 10k and called it a day. I also won 2nd place in my age group. Lunch with my boo to celebrate.

RUN

Sunday, June 29 - Despite a late last night, I was up at 0600 ready to go bike. Got my 35 miles in with a 2 mile brick run. Pretty solid. Bike is always slow with hills...er, mountains!

BIKE + BRICK RUN

As you can see, my week was not perfect. Shortened a swim, skipped a short run and a bike. I didn't shoot for perfection, I shot for balance and listening to my body. I think I had some real quality training sessions despite these imperfections and I feel good about where I am in preparation for Estonia. Smile. Yay!
