Sad to Sick - Week 14 (of 20) Barcelona 70.3

Hello April. Can you guys believe it's April already? I can't believe it's been a year since my brother died. Wow, a year. Time just passes so quickly. A sad thought to my week of which started out as a promising week of training but ended up aching, stuffy, coughy, snotty BLAH weekend.

Monday, April 1 - 2.5 hours on the trainer - couldn't manage the traffic situation for an outside ride - which I missed yesterday. So, trainer. With a 20minute 2 mile brick run.
BIKE (trainer) 2.5 hours + RUN 2 miles

Tuesday, April 2 - permesso appointment this morning and knocked out my 1 hour run (which I discovered later was a 6 mile run so I missed 3/4 of a mile).
RUN 5.25 miles

Wednesday, April 3 - today is the 1 year anniversary - do you say "anniversary" of the death of my brother. I'm not really sure what to say today...but I swam 3,000 meters. The water drowns my sad thoughts. I also have a 30min easy run but it's pouring rain today w/lightning and thunder.
SWIM 3,000m

Thursday, April 4 - to Modena for the day to meet with a mate from high school. It was a rainy day but really glad we got to catch up.
REST DAY exploring

Friday, April 5 - being that Luca came home Weds under the weather and we spent Thursday in the rain, today I'M under the weather. No energy, achy body, TIRED. Usually we swim on Friday's but neither of us had the stamina...
REST DAY

Saturday, April 6 - gosh guys, I'm still feeling so tired. Even though Luca is on duty today and it's a free day to bike long, I'm not sure I have the energy to get through it. I think I'll take this as an extra extra rest day and plan for tomorrow.
REST DAY

Sunday, April 7 - I'm officially sick. But I have to do something! And it's pouring rain. I got on the trainer for 3 hours. Maybe it wasn't the best best idea...but I got shit to do! I've decided I need to invest in a smart trainer. With as much time as I put on the trainer, I think it would be most beneficial.
BIKE (trainer) 3 hours

Swim: 3000m
Bike: 5.5 hours of trainer time
Run: 7 miles
Low mileage this week. Grr. But in my defense, despite a hard fight, I'm sick.
I never get sick! Luca brought this home!
