Monday, June 12, 2017 - first things first, Happy Birthday to my momma!!!!
Up early with Luca for a 1 hour bike ride + 30 minute brick run. Spent the rest of the day trying to figure out why our electricity was out. The neighbor simply flipped a switch *EYE ROLL* Luca came home a bit early from work and we headed to Marina di Massa for a cocktail and to get me out of this house! Dinner back at home and quiet night with my lovey.

Tuesday, June 13, 2017 - up early to make the train to La Spezia w/Danielle for my first official language class. Woohoo! I finally found a legit school with a legit schedule/training program. We dinked around La Spezia for too long though and I missed my window to swim. Grr. No worries, Luca is going to do an OWS tonight so I'll join him. Well, I thought I was ready to swim solo out there but nope, totally freaked out, swam to shore, and took sun while he completed his swim.

Wednesday, June 14, 2017 - to the pool today for a very long make-up session. I swam to what I thought was about 3,500 meters, looked at my watch, and it was only 2,800. AHHH!! So I kept swimming. Until I reached 3,700 meters. I could have kept going!!! My parking meter was up in 10 though... Made it just in time!! Sushi with my love for dinner ~ we found sushi!!

Thursday, June 15 - I wanted to run 40 minutes but there's a serious heatwave flying through ~ like can't breathe outside heatwave!! So I got about 20mins in (don't judge) and grabbed a 90min trainer ride. Luca and I talked each other out of a swim tonight. DOH!

Friday, June 16 - my long run, again, cut short because of this insane heat. I'm not kidding friends, it's hotter than Mississippi!!! 1:20 for 7 miles. I kinda felt like the heat made up for the shortened time. Yes, no, maybe :/
We headed to Carrara for an evening swim to find the place closed. GRR!! I feel like this is a pretty standard practice in Italy. Home instead. And Luca took me to Luminara di Pisa for date night.

Saturday, June 17 - long bike... I was on a mission to get this sucker in (despite the heat) and did it. 5 hours, 77.5 miles, two climbs for 2,500 feet of climbing. It was a good ride. I'm really happy I got this in.

Sunday, June 18 - an intentional rest day, can you believe it!! I actually planned for it ;) To Milan to spend the day with family. Happy Father's Day!!!
