It is time to get back on the accountability kick! I have 20 weeks to Ironman Italy and you are going to help hold me accountable to the end! But wait! Before Italy, my training for Norway 70.3 and Ironman Netherlands will continue.

I maintain 20 week training cycles. I'm on week 13 for Norway and 8 for Netherlands. Mostly I train for the Ironman distance and just make sure my ability, taper, and recovery is on point for the 70.3's.

Mom reminded me that I don't write like I used to. She's right, I don't! And truly, there are a lot of reasons for that. My daily/weekly accountability reports aren't exactly full release writings but they are still therapeutic for me. And keep me on track!! I've made some promises to myself and I want to stay true to myself. SO... here we go!! Week 1 *big smiles and high fives*

Monday, May 8, 2017 - Luca and I attempted to hit the 6am swim spot but we were just too tired to get up! I committed to the 1pm spot... I showed up at 1pm and scanned my little keychain thingy and EHHH red. I understood that my subscription was expired and I could pay 8 Euro to swim now and renew with Simone later (we are moving away on Friday). Ahhh, dang it! I didn't have 8 Euro on me so Luca and I will attempt the am spot again tomorrow. I swear!!
I went straight home and hit a 25min HIIT workout, bi's and tri's, a series of jumping jacks, arms and abs, and 30minutes moderate effort on the trainer.

Tuesday, May 9, 2017 - yay we made it to the pool!! And had the lane to ourselves. On Tuesday's the pool doesn't open until 0700 so Luca had to take a short swim. I got in the full 2,100 meters. Walking home I snapped a few photos in the market and sipped my coffee. At home I jumped on the trainer for a 60min moderate spin and then a 25min HIIT workout. I think I'll do another later today and/or a short run...

Wednesday, May 10, 2017 - why do we have such a hard time waking up at 6am!? Grrr, missed the swim slot this morning and moving extra slow. Finally got on the bike trainer for an hour.
Ran errands and prepared for our move and of course... seafood dinner ;)

Thursday, May 11, 2017 - Lisaaaa, are you gonna go swim this morning? No (EYE ROLL). AHH! I hate 6am swim slots. But good news, we're going to go this evening :D
1 hour = 2500 yards ~ I swear I used to be faster in the pool, it's so frustrating!! But, I'm still swimming. So there's that. Later I ran to the bike shop to meet Luca. Just 2.2 miles, but I ran hard! And dinner with friends.

Friday, May 12, 2017 - Time to start packing and cleaning our house! And there was no way I was getting any training in. We boarded the ship around 9pm and sailed away by 9:30. It took 20 hours! No joke!! We had an early dinner on the ship and went to bed.

Sunday, May 14, 2017 - Happy Mother's Day! We met up with a local tri club for a bike and run. YESS, they were so great!!! A fast and flat ride to warm up then a super long climb up (with my wheel rubbing) and fast down. Fast. Finished with a short easy 30min run. Explored house options during the afternoon and realized it's gonna be tough to find what we want...

Not such a horrible first week of accountability ;)
Next week is supposed to be a swim week but guess what, we haven't found a pool yet! We are right next to the sea, but you know how I am with open water ~ pretty uneasy without a safety boat. Grr. I need to gain confidence in open water. Legit!!
