If You Never Tri, You'll Never Know!

Accountability - A Light but Productive Week

Monday, July 28, 2025 - up early to mow. It's true! We're getting rain this afternoon so I needed to knock out the yardwork. Nearly talked myself out of going to swim but I went. Knocked out 1,500 meters. Decent swim. I feel good about my swim right now.

SWIM + Yardwork

Tues, July 29 - jumped on the KickR for a sweaty 50mins trainer ride. Work and errands filled the rest of the day. I'm honestly missing the gym right now. But I've found that I can only feel good and strong when I'm focused on one or the other - total tri training, swim bike run or minimal tri training with total strength in the gym. So I'm going to use the gym like a beast during off season and keep focusing on getting ready for Estonia 70.3.

BIKE

Weds, July 30 - 3 mile run this morning. It felt like it took forever on these mountains. Oh, it did, 40mins! I hope when I run flat I'm a speed beast. Goh!

RUN

Thurs, July 31 - to the gym for a chest and tri session and a 2,000m swim. I soooo did not want to do that swim and I was on a struggle bus. But I insisted. Do it even when you don't want to!

SWIM + GYM (chest)

Friday, Aug 1 - Hello August! Luca is on duty. I had a choice - bike-run-bike-run transition practice or a rest day. I chose rest! I'm pretty sure I have transition down ;)

REST DAY

Sat, Aug 2 - it's a light weekend! 1 hour bike. It was supposed to be a swim with brick bike. But I can't go swim in the lake at 6am to get on the bike in time to beat traffic. So I had to just grab an early bike and hopefully I can swim later...

I did not swim later. I had to balance family/friend life and we went to a sagra instead.

BIKE

Sun, Aug 3 - 6 mile run, hours in the kitchen prepping lasagna, dinner with friends!

RUN

It felt like a light week. Next week is going to be quite heavy. So, it's okay.
