Monday, Aug 11 - a full day (a.m. anyway) of yardwork. Leaving for 2 weeks means we needed to do a major major cut. Hedges, lawn, pergula, bushes, all the yardwork! It's not easy work. Today the pool was supposed to open but my arms were toast after all this. YARDWORK

Tues, Aug 12 - 45mins on the KickR. I did a boring spin because the back of my right knee was hurting after Sunday's long bike. BIKE

Weds, Aug 13 - 3 mile run in the a.m., house prep for travel, and we're off to Tallinn, Estonia! We arrived after 8pm. My bike box did not. Again. AHHHH!!!! Stayed at the airport hotel.
RUN + TRAVEL DAY

Thurs, Aug 14 - no word on my bike. Travel to Kuressaare Island. Finally got word at 01:33 in the morning. My bike arrived in Tallinn!! Phew!! They'll deliver it to Parnu which we are traveling to tomorrow... TRAVEL/REST DAY

Fri, Aug 15 - Kuressaare Castle, crater hole, windmills, and the cliffs of Panga ruled our day. This was all after a 10k run. Needless to say, getting plenty of steps in! RUN

Sat, Aug 16 - travel to Parnu. Got bike all set-up.

Sun, Aug 17 - headed out for a hopeful 30 miles. Ended up with 20. Not because I was tired or couldn't do it, I was honestly just a bit anxious about where I was. I ended up at a deadend after following a bike path right at 10 miles. So I decided to head back. Super into a headwind. All good. I think I'm ready. Well, I have to be ready - race is next week!! BIKE

Monday, Aug 18 - 30mins on the bike + 30mins run

Tuesday - 1,600m swim (found a lap pool) + 15mins run

Weds - travel day - back to Tallinn

Thurs - 22mins bike + 15mins run + a mini OWS to taste/feel the water. Packet pick-up.

Fri - rest day but hit the water again (senza wetsuit) to give it a final feel. It's cold. AF. Athlete briefing. And pasta night with my Luca. Race nerves! Oh boy oh boy oh boy...

Sat - 15mins bike, 10mins run, and watched the full Ironman swim exit to help ease the swim nerves. I'm still nervous. Ahhh!!
