Monday, Aug 6, 2018 - guys, TOTALLY crushed my rest day!! Like napped for 2 hours in the afternoon crushed it!! AND in bed by 9pm!

Tuesday, Aug 7, 2018 - headed out this morning for a 2,400m swim and 1 hour run...
The pool got crazy, crazier, and then closed a lane. WHAT!? I tried to wait them out, I was not in the mood to battle Italians + I had things to do... got 1,400m done. Brick run was also partial as my left knee was killing me. I gave it near 20mins to warm up and decided resting it was better than damaging it. Luca finished his flights for the first phase of his <on the job> flight training and is officially Limited Combat Ready. Bubbly and chocolate to celebrate!

Wednesday, Aug 8, 2018 - it seems like once every other week I have a day that I'm dead tired. I had grand intentions all day - geared up, prepared - but I had nothing. I finally got a few house chores done and Luca and I went to Fiumaretta for an OWS, but I didn't have much. And things were touching me in the water. Kind of a bust of a day.

Thursday, Aug 9, 2018 - but where there's a will there's a way. 4,000m swim today (which I think was actually 4,200. Twice I counted down from 5 laps but only had 150...  hmmm... Facials w/my girls to follow. I missed a run today :O

Friday, Aug 10, 2018 - missed a swim today but grabbed some mountain intervals.

Saturday, Aug 11, 2018 - 93 miles today. 60 outside + 33 inside. The traffic was out of control. Followed that with a 15min run brick.

Sunday, Aug 12, 2018 - Sunday scare!! Headed out to run at 0615 when a guy drives by me and whistles for my attention. I look and quickly look away as he is hanging out of his window and probably just cat calling... but then he stops up ahead. Completely stops. Does a U turn in the middle of the road and comes back. I quickly walk in the other direction and pray there are people walking around the corner. He circles the roundabout and pulls off the road on a side dirt road. Thank goodness there ARE people and I'm calling Luca. I immediately scream off his license plate number. Write it down baby!! Write it down. Man, stalking me, I repeat it again. I'm looking right at him, him at me. He drives off, braking up ahead again. What does he think I'm a hooker? Or waiting to snatch me?! The people are closer now and I attach myself to them. Still chatting w/Luca. I yell VA VIA (go away)!! He drives off. As you can imagine, I'm saturated in anxiety now. 1 mile into run, complete panic... 1 mile the other direction, complete panic. Shit. So I'm stuck doing tiny loops around my car. Anxiety won the battle. 7 miles and I headed home. I did 3 more around my house and done. I have another 5k tonight...

I guess I would say nothing to brag about here. I really thought I was peaked out last week so I'm surprised that I had another long bike and run in me at all. Although I will admit that I'm very sore and very tired. Family arrival Monday...
