Monday, July 7, 2025 - I was going to go all in on a Monday but realized I was very behind in work and maybe more tired than I should be (considering I skipped my long run last week - GRR!). So I made today the official rest day of the week and it's game on tomorrow!! --- after a 12:30am meeting that is! Yes, I committed to a midnight thirty meeting with one of my clients. It went great though and my proposal for their fundraiser will launch July 11.

REST DAY

Tues, July 8 - Happy 5 Year Wedding Anniversary to husband and me! We were married in the Sarzana, Italy Commune on July 8, 2020. It was very small ceremony in the midst of Covid, but perfect for us!

I ran 30mins first thing this morning. "First thing" - I didn't wake up until after 8am. But all good, got it done. After, zoomed to the pool for a 2,400m swim. Luca had duty Monday night so he arrived home at the same time as me. Let's go celebrate US...

RUN + SWIM

Weds, July 9 - woke up to a cooler morning - go run now!!!! 25min pre-run, 30min bike, and 25min post-run. Easy. And done. A full day of work ahead of me...

RUN + BIKE + RUN

Thurs, July 10 - another run today, 45mins. I'm not fast by any means, but I am getting stronger on these hills. Good thing Estonia is flat! I might FLY! More work today - had a bunch of projects to close out and follow up with. And major deep cleaning a la casa. This is a training session in itself, no!?

RUN

Fri, July 11 - basically bleeding to death this morning. It's not fair that I can't have kids AND I have to continue having a period every month. It's bullshit! I talked myself out of going to the pool. Guys, I wasn't going to bleed out in the pool. Gross. We have products for that. But I felt icky. So I asked Luca if we could do an open water at the lake instead. So we did! I only hit about 1,000 meters but we had some fun movement in the water and it was my first legit open water. I did good.

I forgot I also had a 45min brick bike. Ooops! I took some sun and chilled on the beach instead...

SWIM

Sat, July 12 - up early to grab my long run this week. 9 miles. Hot and hilly. Luca and I spent the rest of the day in Rome exploring Capitoline Museums. Good stuff!

RUN

Sun, July 13 - I was battling the radar about this bike. We had storms coming in but unsure exactly when. Radar showed 8am. Which meant I'd be out on the bike when they hit. Did I want interrupted training w/the potential of being caught out in a thunderstorm? Or trainer? I finally settled for the trainer. And guess what? It didn't storm until nearly 10am which means I would have been done by the time it hit. GRRRRRR!!! I had 50 miles scheduled. I did 2 hours 40mins to mimic. Can you believe I used to bike up to 100 miles on the trainer!? Crazy town.

BIKE

I don't know, I'm not crazy about this week. I mean, I did get a good long run in and a long ass trainer  ride. But can I be honest? I'm tired! I'm ready for a recovery week!...
